ESPN's Adam Schefter says he'll be surprised if Tee Higgins plays in Bengals-Chiefs game

During an appearance Monday on "The Pat McAfee Show," ESPN's Adam Schefter said he expects Cincinnati Bengals receiver Tee Higgins to miss his second consecutive game to start the NFL regular season when the Bengals visit the Kansas City Chiefs.

"He's got a hamstring injury, and we'll see how the week plays out," Schefter said. "But I'll be surprised if he plays this week against the Chiefs."

The Bengals' first Week 2 injury report is due Wednesday. Last week, Higgins was listed Thursday as a limited participant, and he did not practice Friday after head coach Zac Taylor said Higgins tweaked the hamstring during Thursday's practice. His game status for the opener against the New England Patriots was doubtful.
