ESPN's top NBA insider to become GM of St. Bonaventure men's basketball program

Adrian Wojnarowski, ESPN's senior writer and NBA insider, is leaving the news industry, he announced Wednesday morning in a social media post.

Wojnarowski has agreed to become the general manager of the St. Bonaventure men's basketball program, according to ESPN.

Known for his posting of "Woj bombs" on social media, Wojnarowski was the go-to source for breaking news across the NBA for years.

Wojnarowski, 55, who also worked at Yahoo Sports before joining ESPN seven years ago, is a 1991 St. Bonaventure graduate.

The St. Bonaventure men's basketball team has several players with Section V roots, including:

  • Miles Rose, Bishop Kearney

  • Melvin Council Jr, UPrep

  • Broek Ostrom, Holley
