ShrevePride's Q-Prom allows people a second chance at prom. “Whether you didn’t go, didn't get to go as who you are, or if you want to relive that night again,” says ShrevePride says in an invite, “No matter how you identify, a part of the LGBTQIA+ community or are an ally, you won’t want to miss the hottest Pride Month event.”

ShrevePride is a local organization that focuses on providing diverse, inclusive, affordable, safe spaces created with the LGBTQIA+ community in mind.

Starting in 2019, the Q-Prom has become one of the Ark-La-Tex’s largest Pride Month events. “We are so excited to celebrate Pride Month with everyone in our community and visitors from out of town to enjoy,” says co-founder Sam Ortiz. “With Shreveport Q-Prom and other celebrations, Shreveport really has become the regional destination for Pride Month.”

This year’s event will feature a multi-floor adventure with seven spaces inspired by the world of Lady Gaga and is themed “Born This Way.”

“There’s a little Gaga in all of us — confident and vulnerable, colorful and bombastic,” states Chris Lyon, ShrevePride co-founder. “You can dress on theme or in your best prom attire. Take the new love in your life, go with friends, or arrive solo.”
