Falcons player Jessie Bates is cooking up a solid strategy as he prepares to face off against Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Bates, a safety for the Atlanta-based NFL team, recently outlined his plans for the Chiefs matchup on Sunday, Sept. 22, admitting that he hopes to get their star tight end rattled with some trash talk.

"I might say some crazy stuff to him," Bates, 27, revealed while appearing on the Friday, Sept. 20 episode of Pacman Jones' podcast, Politely Raw.

Bates further teased, "It may involve Taylor, it may not," referring to Kelce's superstar girlfriend, Taylor Swift.

But Bates insisted in the interview that it's nothing personal as off the field, he respects Kelce, 34, and the "Anti-Hero" songstress.

"I don’t listen to much Taylor Swift but obviously you got to respect [her] for what she has done with her career," Bates explained.

"And then with Travis, obviously, you got to have some type of respect with him," he continued of Kelce, a three-time Super Bowl champ.

"But once that clock ticks and we in between those lines you know I see red sometimes," Bates added, while noting that "talking a little smack" is "just part of the game."

Bates and the Atlanta Falcons will go head-to-head with the Chiefs on Sunday at 8:20 p.m. ET. Swift, 34, is likely to attend to cheer on her boyfriend, as she is still currently on hiatus from the Eras Tour.
