We Finally Know Why Taylor Swift Has Been Missing Chiefs Games

Attention everyone in a state of 🌀 over the fact that Taylor Swift has missed Travis Kelce's last couple games: there's no drama to be found.

Taylor and Travis are still going strong, and a source finally weighed in on why she was a no-show at the Chiefs' 9/22 game against the Falcons and their 9/29 game against the Charges. Turns out Taylor is 1) working late 'cause she's a singer, and 2) dealing with some security concerns.

A source tells Page Six that Taylor's absence isn't—as the outlet puts it—"a sign that she’s on the outs with Kansas City Chief’s tight end," adding that she's simply been busy with Eras Tour rehearsals ahead of her October 18 show in Miami. On top of that, Tay prefers to attend Travis' home games at Arrowhead Stadium because security is easier to manage.

“If she is going to a place that isn’t Arrowhead, there are security concerns,” the insider explains. “She has worked with Arrowhead so many times, they feel at ease and comfortable. Going to all kinds of different stadiums, you need to send a team in advance.”

The Chiefs have plenty of home games this season that Taylor could attend when she's not busy on the Eras Tour (we put together a whole schedule below), so stay tuned. Meanwhile, it seems unlikely that Travis will be able to make many more Eras Tour appearances considering he's in the thick of the NFL season.
