Airborne objects are no longer a threat reserved for musicians; the dangerous trend of hurling things at performers onstage has trickled into press junkets.

Actress Florence Pugh is the most recent star to fall victim to the dangerous actions of so-called fans, taking an unidentified object to the eye while posing with her Dune 2 co-stars at a Brazilian convention similar to Comic-Con, called CCXP.

The Don't Worry Darling alum stood smiling with her arms wrapped around her fellow castmates, including Austin Butler, Zendaya, and Timothée Chalamet, as the crowd roared in applause. But, as seen in a video of the moment, uploaded to Twitter by a fan account dedicated to the Wonka actor, a small item came flying through the air and smacked Pugh directly in her right eye, causing her to gasp and flinch.

Butler appears to ask her if she's all right, and she appears to confirm she is before leaning down to pick whatever it was up off of the floor, though the video cuts out before it's visible again.

"Disgusting. it’s going to get to the point where people do not want to do live events or concerts. If they have to be worried about people throwing stuff at them and getting hurt," one comment read, as another chimed in, "An actor's face is their livelihood; this kind of disrespect is deplorable."

We're glad to see that Pugh looks to be unharmed, but the same can't be said for others who have been on the same receiving end.

Bebe Rexha ended up with a black eye and, seemingly, a small laceration above her brow after a concert-goer threw a phone at her during a New York City performance. Meanwhile, Kelsea Ballerini and Harry Styles have both been smacked in the eye with small objects. During a Vegas concert, someone threw their drink at Cardi B, with the rapper's immediate response being to throw her microphone back at them. Unfortunately, the idea of a performer defending doesn't seem to be much of a dissuasion.

Still, some musicians, like AdeleKelly Clarkson, and Nick Jonas, have all made it clear that they won't tolerate that kind of behavior—and who wants to be scolded by their fave, anyway?
