Food trucks, music, fireworks: Fall River's Waterfront 4th of July Celebration

FALL RIVER — The city's Waterfront 4th of July Celebration will be packed with family fun, all along the waterfront.

On Thursday, July 4, from 5 to 9 p.m., there will be music, food trucks, and fireworks, with all kinds of events planned at the Sen. Thomas Norton City Pier, Heritage State Park, and Bicentennial Park.

The fireworks over the Taunton River will begin around 9 p.m.

Tickets are available to view the fireworks from the deck of the USS Massachusetts. Gates open at 7:30, and the last admission will be at 8:45 p.m. Tickets are $15, and children under 2 get in for free. For more information, and for tickets, visit https://tinyurl.com/49yjyfd7.

The current events schedule is as follows, according to a press release from Mayor Paul Coogan's office:

Sen. Thomas Norton City Pier (from 5 to 9 p.m.):

  • Performances by Emily Nawrocki, Get Lucky

  • Beer garden provided by Troy City Brewery, Party with Primo

  • Food trucks: Green Jar Cocina, Bun Buds, Pop’s Brick Oven Pizza, What’s Up Cupcake, Ice ‘N’ Roll, and Berry Sweets

  • Airbrush tattoos

Heritage State Park (from 5 to 9 p.m.)

  • Music provided by DJ Eric J

  • Food trucks: Friskie Fries, Blount, Fancheezical, Black Dog Donut, Supa Dupa, No Joke Smoke BBQ, Del’s Lemonade, and Cool Licks Ice Cream

Veterans Memorial Bicentennial Park (from 5 to 9 p.m.)

  • Performance by The Nightlife Orchestra

  • Food trucks: Dorothy Cox Ice Cream, Kona Ice, Gnarly Vine Farms, and County Fare Hot Dogs

On Friday, July 5, the mayor's office is leading a volunteer cleanup around the waterfront. Anyone who wants to volunteer should meet at the Heritage State Park Sailing Lot at 8 a.m. Tools and supplies will be available.
