Johnson County property records show a home in Leawood that had been on the market and linked to Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce now has a new owner.

It’s a limited liability company based out of Rocky River, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland. As Kelce fans know, that’s near where he grew up, so it seems possible that he is the new owner.

Another clue: it’s not far from the Trader Joe’s in Leawood, and an Instagram/TikTok user named Alex Owens shared a video of Kelce shopping in the store.

What is special about this video is that Kelce, who has become a worldwide star thanks to his relationship with singer Taylor Swift, was unencumbered while shopping.

“No one approached him, was weird or acted crazy,” Owens wrote. “The moment he left the whole store exploded!

“I freaking love Kansas City for being so respectful and polite. Also, he’s a king and so beautiful. It’s still on my bucket list to get a hug from him ... if anyone was wondering what to get me for Christmas.”

Here is the video.

Owens later said in another video: “I love how much Kansas City was chill, even though everybody was silently screaming and crying, like me. Nobody was weird to him, everybody was respectful and then literally the second he left the store, everybody exploded. We had this shared experience. It was so cool.”

There is speculation that Taylor Swift, who had her final 2023 tour date over the weekend, is in Kansas City.

That led a TikTok user and others to surmise that Kelce was buying ice cream for his main squeeze.
