Free baby shower, fishing derby set in Alliance
Family Empowerment Ministries will partner with Stark County Fatherhood Coalition for special activities for families.
The 3rd annual Community Baby Shower & Fishing Derby will run 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Silver Park.
The Fishing Derby will start at 8 a.m. at the park’s Kidwell Lake. Officials say the lake will be stocked with plenty of fish. Mothers, fathers and children of all ages may attend and participate in Fishing Derby. Free fishing poles will be given to all youth participating.
The Baby Shower kicks off at 10 a.m. in the main pavilion at Silver Park. To take part, women must be pregnant or have a child that is younger than age 2.
Toddlers and youngsters can receive free shoes starting at 11 a.m. Children must be present to receive shoes.
All activities are free, and lunch will be provided. For more information, call 330-913-7007.
