Evelyn Hamman, a sophomore, had 19 kills, 4 aces, 24 points and 7 digs for the Cavaliers. Marisa Stiteler, a sophomore, had 9 kills, 5 aces, 17 points and 2 blocks; Grace Townsend, a senior, had 5 kills, 25 assists, 13 digs and Miranda McCloy, a senior, had 26 digs

It was a must-win situation for Chillicothe being two wins down to Jackson. The Cavaliers shot a 163 to win by 6 strokes over second-place Jackson. With the win Chillicothe moves to 22-3 in the FAC only one win down to Jackson 23-2

Jackson won FAC #6 over Chillicothe 164-166. Jackson moves to 28-2 on the season. Chillicothe is now two wins back (26-4) with only the 18 hole championship left to play on Sept. 17. The Cavaliers are not eliminated as of yet as the match is worth double (10 wins).

Village Invitational at Adena

The top five spots all went to runners from Unioto. Ethan Purtee of Unioto came in first with a time of 18:00.93, followed by William Lynch at 18:01.49, Jaden Hines at 18:09.28, Gideon Tennant at 18:09.44, and Caleb Caplinger at 18:13.25. Jaxon Smith at 18:26.72 and Jayden Lewis also cracked the top 10 for Unioto at 18:34.18. Other runners from Unioto to be in the top 25 were Rudy Leadingham (11th) at 18:58.27, Boone Fout (16th) at 19:39.12, and Alex Castillo (24th) at 20:16.70

Unioto won the meet with Washington, Paint Valley, Zane Trace, Adena, Huntington and Miami Trace following.

The top runner for Adena was Marcus Jackson at 18:34.01 and eighth place. Also in the top 25 was Cooper Day at 19th with a time of 19:43.83.

Isaac Detty of Zane Trace rounded out the top 10 at 18:56.08. Also in the top 25 were Logan Lyle (18) at 19:42.93, Will Cahoon (20th) at 19:45.96 and Jonny Reed (23rd) at 20:16.49

Paint Valley's top runner was Carter Elliott at 19:01.60 at 12th place. Also in the top 25 were Jaxson Immell (14th) at 19:25.24, Kayne Scott (17th) at 19:42.59

Southeastern's top runner was Gage Renison at 15th with a time of 19:38.52.

Keegan Woodruff was the top runner for Huntington at 22nd with a time of 20:13.06. He was joined in the top 25 by Caden Uhrig at 25th with a time of 20:32.51

Girls Cross Country

Village Invitational at Adena

Vanessa Conley of Adena came in first with a time of 21:14.80. She was joined in the top 25 by teammates, Raeley Stephenson (9th) at 23:54.37, Katelyn Ramsey (12th) at 24:28.77, Kadance Knight (17th) at 27:21.85, Olivia Ferrell (18th) at 28:36.41, Jolene Graves (22nd) at 29:29.36 and Madelynn Dennis (25th) at 29:29.54

Rachel Lute of Huntington came in second with a time of 21:25.01. She was joined in the top 25 by Hayden McGill (10th) at 23:57.83, and Jessica Crocker (14th) at 26:09.80.

Adeline Lloyd of Unioto was third with a time of 21:52.34. She was joined by Briana Nelson (5th) at 22:16.58, Ava Fyffe (6th) at 22:39.31, Ava Rooker (7th) at 22:48.19, Alex McDonald (11th) at 24:20.79, Adriaunna Menedez (16th) at 27:14.66

The top runner for Southeastern was Karlie Peters who came in fourth with a time of 21:53.66.

The top runner for Piketon was Jaylin Forbes who came in 19th with a time of 28:38.58. She was joined in the top 25 by teammate Lindi Flaig at 24th with a time of 31:27.50

Unioto won the meet, followed by Adena, Huntington, Miami Trace and Piketon.
