A young girl who survived a car crash that killed her father and siblings is filled with grief and gratitude as she continues to recover following the tragic incident.

Aubrey Bogacki was hospitalized after the fatal crash on Saturday, July 20, which killed 44-year-old Nathan Bogacki and two of his children, 17-year-old Emma and 13-year-old Grant, according to a GoFundMe set up on behalf of her family.

Aubrey, the sole survivor of the crash, returned home on Thursday, Aug. 8, after spending less than three weeks in the hospital, according to NBC affiliate WPXI.

She was treated for various injuries, including a broken arm, collapsed lung and multiple neck injuries, NBC affiliate WFMJ reported.

Speaking out for the first time, Aubrey, 11, told the station that she was feeling a range of emotions.

"I'm sad and happy at the same time," Aubrey said, explaining that she's sad because of "what I went through," but that she's grateful for all of the "support behind me."

Additionally, a local nonprofit called Jamie’s Dream Team has stepped up to help make Aubrey’s "dream" of seeing Taylor Swift in concert, a reality.

"Aubrey is strong, and she deserves whatever she wants or what anybody can give her," Jamie Ward, founder of Jamie’s Dream Team — a nonprofit organization that helps dreams come true for those in need — said during an interview with CBS affiliate KDKA.

In addition to getting tickets to see Swift in Indianapolis this November, Aubrey and her mother will also be going to Disney World.

“I just want Taylor Swift to please meet with this girl when she’s in Indianapolis, or give her her hat, do something,” Ward told WPXI. “Make her know that she is loved by somebody that she loves.”
