From a veterans art show this Friday, to a Taylor Swift brunch on Saturday, check out these events and more:

Celebration of Veteran Artists

This Friday, several downtown York shops and galleries will host local veteran artists, sculptors and creatives, to bring awareness to veteran artists in the community.

Organized by sculpture and naval aviation veteran Clifton Santiago, the free event will take place at the following locations:

  • 4 p.m. at Bound Books

    • Book signing by Patrick Smithwick

  • 5 p.m. at Gather 256

    • Featuring local veteran artisits

  • 6 p.m. at Gallery Q

    • Featuring "Art from the Soldier" by Pamela Wilde

  • 7 p.m. at Gallery Q

    • Featuring Gregory DeCandia

York Author Fest

Hosted at Martin Library on Saturday, Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., The York Author Fest will highlight the accomplishments of over 20 local authors, and poets, both traditional and self-published.

Taylor Swift Brunch

Dress in your Swiftie gear this Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fat Bat Brewing, and enjoy Taylor Swift music, bottomless Purple Haze lemonade, an all-you-can-eat buffet including pancakes, sausage, yogurt, pastries, and Taylor Swift merch.

Greek Food Festival

York's favorite Greek Food Festival at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church is back this weekend with gyro sandwiches, pastries, baklava ice cream and so much more. During your meal, enjoy live dance performances and afterwards shop around for Greek jewelry, olives, cheese and more. Church tours will also be available.

The festival will take place on Friday, Sept. 20 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and continue through Sunday, Sept. 22, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Succulent Pumpkin Workshop

Grab your friends and loved ones and get in the spirit of fall with a festive, succulent workshop.

Crossing Creek and Company in Dillsburg is hosting the class by A&M Growers, which will provide guests with a freshly harvested pumpkin, live succulents, pods, berries, cones and dried flowers. Tickets are $50 each, and guests can register in-store, or through an online Google Doc located on the event page.

Winestock 2024

SpringGate Vineyard's annual '60s and '70s inspired festival is happening this weekend! From Friday night to Sunday evening, enjoy food, wine, beer, cider, wine slushies, and cocktails, as well as live music, balloon animals and caricature drawing.

Pennsylvania Tea Festival

This two-day event taking place on Friday, Sept. 20 at 9 a.m. through Saturday, Sept. 21 at 4 p.m. will feature tea tastings, homemade products and more offered by over 30 merchants and vendors. The event will be held in the herb gardens of The Rosemary House in downtown Mechanicsburg. Tickets are $15 and available for purchase online at events.humanitix.com.
