Guide to Nov. 5 election: Highly contested Clarksville City Council seats on the ballot
After two primaries, Montgomery County is preparing for what will probably be the busiest election of the year, the Nov. 5 election, less than 80 days away.
While the president is on everyone's mind, U.S. Senate and House of Representative, State Senate and House of Representatives and local election of Clarksville City Council will also be on the ballot.
In Clarksville, six seats will be listed on ballots across the city, with only two city council incumbents listed to run for reelection.
City council seats are highly contested with four candidates running in Wards 8 and 9, two candidates in Wards 3 and 5 and three candidates in Ward 12. Ward 4 is the only uncontested seat with Tim Chandler running.
Incumbents seeking another term are Ambar Marquis, Ward 5 and Keri Lovato Ward 12.
