Hammers' first nine league games in London

One of the stranger quirks of the Premier League fixtures released on Tuesday is that West Ham United are not scheduled to play outside London in the top flight until 2 November.

The Hammers' first four away matches are against neighbours Crystal Palace, Fulham, Brentford and Tottenham.

It is not until their 10th scheduled fixture of the season, away at Nottingham Forest, that Julen Lopetegui's team will leave the capital for a Premier League match.

West Ham have had early journeys to Europe in each of the past three seasons but they will not take part in a European competition in 2024-25, meaning the streak of London fixtures could only be broken if they are drawn away in the early rounds of the Carabao Cup.
