New Castle's Wentworth by the Sea, known for its generous amenities and waterfront opportunities, was voted one of the best waterfront hotels in the country in a USA Today 10Best poll.

USA Today 10Best, which is owned by same parent company as The Portsmouth Herald, is a travel and lifestyle website that regularly publishes list of the ten best. In every category, nominees are submitted by experts, then narrowed down by editors and voted on by readers to determine the final rankings.

A Gilded Age property, Wentworth by the Sea has hosted presidents and other dignitaries. The island hotel famous façade, complete with turrets, is a perfect place to stay while exploring Portsmouth.
