Here's who got married in the “Love Is Blind: U.K.” finale — and who got left at the altar

Half of the couples said "I do," but the other half ended the season in heartbreak.

Warning: This article contains spoilers about the Love Is Blind U.K. season 1 finale.

The pods have moved across the pond for Love Is Blind: U.K.

While the romantic drama of watching couples get engaged sight-unseen only weeks before their weddings played out exactly the same as Netflix's American seasons of the social experiment, the accents were so much cooler this time around. But how did the Brits do in comparison to the American romantic hopefuls when it came to saying "I do" at the end?

Going into the two-episode finale of Love Is Blind: U.K., six couples made it to the altar: Freddie and Catherine; Sabrina and Steven; Tom and Maria, Bobby and Jasmine; Nicole and Benaiah; and Demi and Ollie. Here's everyone who ended up getting married — and who got left at the altar.

Catherine and Freddie

These two seemed to be on track to get married when they left the pods. But Freddie, a funeral director, and Catherine, a dental nurse, faced a lot of issues once their honeymoon period ended. Catherine constantly laughed at his profession, and she struggled with learning that Freddie had cheated on a past partner. Freddie, meanwhile, loves the quiet life at home and worried that Cat wanted different things because she loves going out.

Going into their finale wedding, this couple was the most on edge out of everyone. Catherine was offended when Freddie asked her for a prenuptial agreement, and he was unsure that her "bougie" interests didn't line up with his lifestyle — which offended her again. But she also expressed concerns that they were just too different. Ultimately, she said "I do," but then Freddie rejected her. "I love you Cat, but the timing might not be right for us," he said before leaving her at the altar.

After the failed wedding, Freddie revealed he still wants to have Cat in his life, but needs more time before getting married to figure out if they work (and to figure out if she’s materialistic). He even sat down with Cat’s parents to explain himself before telling her that he still wants a future with her and can maybe see getting married later. But Cat told him that she can’t see that happening right now, and that his actions will speak louder than words. Stay tuned for the reunion to find out what happened next for them.

The first couple to fall in love and get engaged in the pods continued their streak by being the first to get married. To no one's surprise (because they never kept their intentions a secret), Sabrina and Steven said "I do" and had no drama at all during their wedding.

The only question that remains is whether they will move to Steven's home in London or to Sabrina’s home in Belfast.

Maria and Tom

Tom and Maria had red flags in their relationship from the start (and that's not even taking Tom's other pod connection with Tash into account). While discussing their family values, Maria said she wanted to take on a "traditional" role as a wife and mother, which immediately turned off Tom, who wanted to keep things equal in all aspects of their relationship. Then Tom admitted he judged Maria for her profession as a makeup artist. Even the small incident of Tom not paying for Maria on one of their first post-pod dates caused problems.

When the wedding day arrived, Tom's mother refused to come, which deeply affected him. He ultimately decided there hadn't been enough time to figure out how their conflicting values over finances and gender roles would affect their daily lives. He told Maria no and left her at the altar, and in a later interview revealed that he doesn’t want to raise children who believe men should pay for everything. They didn't have a conversation on camera after that, so there's no telling if either of them wanted to continue their relationship outside of the show.

netflix
Benaiah, Nicole

While these two didn't leave the pods together, they still found their way back to each other. Nicole originally rejected Benaiah for Sam and got engaged to Sam, despite Benaiah warning her that Sam was only there for fame. Her first engagement ended quickly — Nicole broke things off with Sam before they went on their post-pods vacation because things just "didn't feel right."

Nicole then met Benaiah at a cafe where he promptly proposed to her, and they were back on track. They immediately joined the other engaged couples in Greece and got married in the finale. But will Benaiah's nomadic lifestyle result in Nicole's worst nightmare: getting divorced again? We'll have to wait to find out in the reunion.

netflix
Demi and Ollie

After a rocky love triangle situation in the pods (with Catherine as that third point), Demi and Ollie went on a roller coaster ride. Their post-engagement trip was more misery than paradise, as they both got in their heads and were uncomfortable with other people's opinions about their relationship. Once they decided to block out all the noise, they fell even more in love with each other as Demi's confidence came back.

But in the days leading up to the wedding when they were apart, Demi was uncomfortable with Ollie's lack of communication. Ultimately, she told Ollie "I do not" at the altar, but she hoped they could still have a relationship in the future. Ollie also seemed to want to continue their relationship after their failed wedding, but we'll have to find out if that actually happened at the reunion.

Not even Jasmine's overbearing mother could stop this wedding from happening! Jasmine and Bobby fell in love in the pods, and their feelings never wavered — not even when Jasmine's mother tried to impose her own doubts on Bobby being "uneducated" and therefore unable to provide a stable financial future (or even have the ability to hold a conversation). Jasmine felt safe with Bobby, and Bobby had hearts in his eyes whenever he looked at Jasmine, so there was no surprise when they both said "I do" at the altar.

What was surprising, however, was Jasmine's mother tearfully giving Bobby her stamp of approval after the ceremony, and even telling him that she loved him. He won her over in the end — now that's a happy twist ending.
