Highest-paid former OU football players in the NFL: Where does CeeDee Lamb rank?

Numerous former OU football players have thrived in the NFL, and they've been rewarded with massive contracts.

The latest example is CeeDee Lamb. The former OU wide receiver signed a four-year, $136 million contract with Dallas on Monday that made him the second highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history.

5. Trent Williams, OT, San Francisco 49ers

  • Average annual value: $23 million

Williams signed a six-year, $138 million contract with San Francisco in 2021. It made him the highest-paid offensive lineman in the NFL at the time.

Williams earned two All-Big 12 first team selections during his time at OU from 2006-09. He's now a three-time All-Pro offensive tackle who's entering his 14th season in the NFL.

4. Baker Mayfield, QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

  • Average annual value: $33.3 million

Mayfield signed a three-year, $100 million contract with Tampa Bay on March 10. It was a well-deserved deal for the former No. 1 overall pick, who led the Buccaneers to the NFC Divisional Round of the playoffs last season.

Mayfield led OU to two College Football Playoff appearances during his time with the program from 2014-17. He also won the 2017 Heisman Trophy and earned two Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year awards.

Hurts signed a five-year, $255 million contract with Philadelphia in 2023. It was the biggest contract in terms of average annual value in NFL history at the time.

Hurts earned a 2019 All-Big 12 first team selection in his lone season with OU, and he led the team to the College Football Playoff. Hurts has since made one Super Bowl and two Pro Bowl appearances throughout his four seasons in the NFL.
