Huddersfield boss Duff gets one-match ban and fine

Huddersfield Town head coach Michael Duff and goalkeeping coach Andy Quy have both been sanctioned by the FA for misconduct.

The pair were both shown red cards by referee Sebastian Stockbridge in the 2-1 defeat at Rotherham United on August 31.

The defeat brought the Terriers' 100 per cent winning start to the League One season to an end.

Quy was dismissed, apparently for time-wasting, ahead of Mallik Wilks' late winner for the home side, and with Danny Ward already having been sent off for Huddersfield in the Yorkshire derby.

Duff also saw red following the final whistle after approaching Mr Stockbridge.

Both men were charged last week and were sanctioned today after admitting "that they had acted in an improper manner".

Duff has been banned from the touchline for one match and fined £1,000, while Quy picked up a £500 fine.
