Call this the “Pistolero Edition” of Inside Inter Miami.

On this latest episode, hosts Michelle Kaufman and Andre Fernandez dive into another great performance by Luis Suarez, who continues to defy the naysayers at age 37 and turn in an MVP season for Inter Miami.

So much for his aching knees.

Suarez scored two goals to lead Inter Miami to victory at Chicago last week, which widened their lead in the Supporters Shield race. This was coming off his two goals in the first six minutes of Miami’s previous win over FC Cincinnati.

Suarez has 16 goals in 20 games, is second place in the Golden Boot race and has scored 20 goals across all competitions.

We also look at his emotional retirement from the Uruguayan national team after 17 years. Suarez, who has a one-year deal with Inter Miami, might have hinted at his future with the club.

We have a more positive update on Lionel Messi’s injury status as odds of him returning to action for the club’s next game Sept. 14 vs. Philadelphia are starting to look better.

And “We’re Coming Home!” The club kicks off its Miami Freedom Park promotional campaign and Kaufman has all the details.
