Jabrill Peppers injury update: New England Patriots safety returns to game vs NY Jets

EAST RUTHERFORD − New England Patriots safety Jabrill Peppers, the former North Jersey high school football star, has returned to Thursday night's game against the New York Jets after leaving the first half with an ankle injury.

Peppers, a team captain for the Patriots, is in his third season with the organization.

The former Don Bosco and Paramus Catholic standout was selected 25th overall in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns and spent three seasons with the hometown Giants before heading to New England.

Jabrill Peppers injury update

Patriots safety Jabrill Peppers suffered an ankle injury early in the second quarter and is back in the game against the Jets on Thursday night.

TV cameras showed Peppers heading back to the Patriots' locker room when he first went down with the injury.
