Jeff Probst Compares Survivor 47 to Game of Thrones: ‘The Crown Is Always Up for Grabs’ — Watch Exclusive Video

Survivor 47 is about to crash on our shores and according to host Jeff Probst, the upcoming season is “impossible to contain.”

“Each season of Survivor is influenced by the previous season, so the moves and strategies employed in Survivor 46 will definitely impact Survivor 47,” he says in our exclusive first-look video embedded above. “The game is constantly evolving.”

The two-minute clip of the new season (which premieres Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 8/7c on CBS) provides a sneak peek into some the newbies’ strategies — including “Pod Save America” co-host Jon Lovett — as Probst sets the stage for the backstabbing and blindsides to come. He even goes so far as to compare the season to another beloved (albeit, fictional) series: HBO’s Game of Thrones. “The throne is never secure and the crown is always up for grabs,” he teases.

Also included in the cast are an ER doctor, a nurse, a pilot, a flight attendant and more, with Probst promising “big personalities with very clear agendas of how they want to play.”
