Jennifer Garner Hits the Pumpkin Patch in Overalls to Share ‘Nerdy Farm Facts’ in New Video

Jennifer Garner is sharing her “nerdy farm facts!”

On Sunday, Aug. 25, the actress, 52, shared an Instagram video of herself spending some time on her pumpkin patch and provided some tips on how to grow the vegetable.

“Nerdy farm facts,” she said as she sported dungarees over a T-shirt and held onto a yellow flower. “This flower is both male and female.”

“There’s a pistol inside and it needs the pollen,” she continued. “Do you know who takes care of that? Bees! Thank you for the bees!”

“Once the pollen falls onto the pistol in the middle the miracle continues,” Garner added.

“It can start to grow,” the 13 Going on 30 star continued. “This is when you get the email that says, ‘Congratulations, Mama Pumpkin. Your baby is the size of a large grape.'"

“It keeps growing and growing and growing,” Garner said as she continued displaying the flower to the camera. “This curls and dries off.”

Picking up a pumpkin, she added that, “Sometimes, it doesn’t. It’s like a little umbilical cord, it’s crazy.”

“ ‘Dear Mama, congratulations,’ ” Garner said as she held up two unripe pumpkins. “ ‘Today your pumpkins are a nice size B. And they keep growing and growing until they grow into big beautiful pumpkins.’ ”

Farmer Garner then concluded the clip with a snippet of her sitting with large ripe pumpkins.

“Nerdy Farm Facts: Pumpkins. 🤓👩‍🌾🎃,” her caption read.

Garner’s nerdy farm facts come after she revealed she faced a big fear during her trip to Japan earlier this month.

Sharing a snap of her eating ramen noodles, she also posted an oyster farmer catching the shellfish in nets.

"The triumph of the former picky eater," the actress said as she took a bite of abalone.

The caption of the clip then read, "Honor the life forces that feed us.”
