Jordan Love's fiancée re-signs with her pro volleyball team. Is the Packers quarterback up next with his new contract?

Jordan Love's fiancée has a new contract.

Will the Green Bay Packers quarterback get a new deal of his own as well?

Ronika Stone has re-signed with the San Diego Mojo, one of seven teams in the Pro Volleyball Federation league. The 26-year-old middle blocker is the first player to sign a new contract with the Mojo for the 2025 season.

It probably isn't a surprise the Mojo locked Stone up for another year. Stone, who led the league in hitting percentage and started every match for the Mojo, earned PVF all-league second team. She led the team with 96 sets played and also topped the Mojo in aces, and was second in points (238) and blocks (51).

Those contributions were a big reason the Mojo advanced to the four-team playoff field in the inaugural PVF season, which ended in May. The Mojo fell in five sets in the PVF semifinals, a match that Love sat courtside for in Omaha, Nebraska.

“Returning to San Diego fills me with a renewed excitement and determination,” Stone said in a news release. “After falling short last season, my sights are set on redemption and the ultimate goal, of course – to bringing home the championship.”

The new contract comes about a week after Stone and Love became engaged during a vacation in Italy.

When will the Packers sign Jordan Love to a contract extension?

Love could be celebrating his own contract with the Packers next.

Ahead of his first year as a starter for the Packers in 2023, the team signed Love to a one-year extension in 2024 worth $22.5 million, essentially at the time giving him a two-year window to show that he was the long-term answer at quarterback.

Love only needed one season to show that he can be that player.

Love, who sat behind Aaron Rodgers the first three years of his career, has started just 20 games in his NFL career.

But he’s already established himself as one of the NFL’s top QBs. His play propelled the Packers to the playoffs last year after a late-season surge, and he had a near perfect performance in his first postseason game — a 48-32 win over the Dallas Cowboys on the road. His 157.2 passer rating against the Cowboys was the fourth-highest single-game passer rating in playoff history.

His 32 regular-season touchdown passes were second in the NFL and he delivered time and again on the big stage.

Love, 26, declined to discuss details about contract negotiations during organized team activities last month. Love was present in Green Bay throughout the offseason program.

He's expected to get a deal near the top of the quarterback market. Jared Goff, 29, signed a four-year, $212 million contract extension ($170 million guaranteed) with the Detroit Lions in May. That made him the second-highest-paid quarterback in the NFL.

Before the start of the 2023 season, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, 27, signed a five-year, $275 million deal, the highest paid player in NFL history at $55 million annually.

During the NFL's annual owners meetings in Florida in March, Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst indicated he was confident in extending Love. The team was already having "preliminary discussion" with Love's team at that point, Gutekunst said. The earliest Love could have signed an extension was May 3.

“Generally, having four years with him I think gives a lot of comfort in what he’s all about on how his teammates look at him and the organization looks at him. I think certainly that gives me a lot more peace than a different situation," Gutekunst said.
