Keebler Has a New First-of-Its-Kind Fudge Stripes Flavor

It's inspired by an iconic movie character.

If you know what happens when you say “Beetlejuice. Beetlejuice. Beetlejuice,” then Keebler has a new snack that you’ll want to summon to your grocery cart right away. In anticipation of “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice,” a sequel to the beloved film, there’s a new cookie coming out that’s a nod to the movie’s namesake character.

Even if you aren’t old enough to recall when the original film debuted in 1988, you’re certainly familiar with Michael Keaton’s character Beetlejuice and his signature black and white striped suit. It’s become a Halloween staple over the past 36 years, and if you’ve seen the previews for the sequel, you’ll know the character’s style has stayed the same for three and a half decades.

That style has found its way into a cookie, the “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” Dark Chocolate & Vanilla Fudge Stripes. Classic Fudge Stripes are vanilla cookies with milk chocolate stripes, but Keebler will occasionally drop special versions, like they did earlier this year with Rocky Road Fudge Stripes.

In stores now, the limited-edition “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” Fudge Stripes, crafted by none other than Keebler’s mascot Ernie and the other Elves in the Hollow Tree, feature a dark chocolate shortbread cookie (the first ever for a Fudge Stripe), topped with vanilla-flavored fudge stripes, designed to mimic Beetlejuice's suit. The new Fudge Stripes join other other favorite foods that turned movie-themed for a limited time such as Oreo glittery Troll Cookies and the Ghostbusters Twinkes.

“Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” Fudge Stripes will be around for a limited time. During that time, Keebler’s website will also host the Open for Magic digital hub with family-friendly content, games, and recipes inspired by the film. You have to say “Beetlejuice” three times to get in, so enter at your own risk.
