Knicks trade 24th overall pick of 2024 NBA Draft to Washington Wizards

The Knicks have traded the 24th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft to the Washington Wizards, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Wizards took wing Kyshawn George from Miami with the pick.

Washington sent the Knicks the 26th pick (which they traded to the Thunder) and the 51st pick in the second round.

The Knicks also held the 25th pick, and they selected French wing Pacome Dadiet, who played this past season in Germany.

It’s been a hectic week for the Knicks, who upgraded their roster Tuesday night by landing coveted wing Mikal Bridges from the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for four unprotected first round picks (2025, 2027, 2029 and 2031), a 2025 protected first-round pick, a 2028 unprotected pick swap and a 2025 second-round pick, along with Bojan Bogdanovic.

The addition of Bridges reunites the former Villanova star with his college teammates Jalen Brunson, Donte DiVincenzo and Josh Hart.

Then on Wednesday, the Knicks further fortified their roster by reportedly agreeing to a five-year extension worth $212.5 million with forward OG Anunoby.

Adding Bridges and bringing back Anunoby gives the Knicks the type of wings that can match up with Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown and the defending champion Boston Celtics.
