Kristen Stewart’s Nevermind Pictures Inks First-Look Deal With Fremantle

Fremantle has inked a first-look deal with Nevermind Pictures, the production company set up by Kristen Stewart, Dylan Meyer and Maggie McLean, which will see the super indie become the primary home for all of Nevermind’s projects in film and TV.

The new deal, which spans a multi-year period, will see Nevermind working closely with Fremantle’s global drama division and international distribution team, FMI, for TV titles.

Stewart (“Love Lies Bleeding”), screenwriter Meyer (“Moxie”) and producer McLean (“Boygenius: The Film”) set up Nevermind earlier this year. The first titles under the Fremantle deal, which encompass films, drama and docuseries, will see Stewart, Meyer and McLean’s roles vary from project to project. Stewart will direct, write and/or act, Meyer will direct and write and all three will produce. The projects are set to be announced soon.

“We are emphatically thrilled to be partnering with such esteemed and likeminded creative partners,” said Stewart, Meyer and McLean. “We’re blown away by the talent Fremantle has amassed under their umbrella and can’t wait to cut our teeth on our initial forays alongside them.”

Christian Vesper, Fremantle’s CEO of global drama and Seb Shorr, COO of global drama spearheaded the deal.

Vesper said: “We are incredibly excited to join forces with Kristen, Dylan and Maggie and collaborate on their bold and inventive projects. The Nevermind team’s combined experience and talent are exceptional, and we are sure that Fremantle will be the natural home for their original, fresh perspective.”

Nevermind is the latest production label to partner with Fremantle, following Pablo and Juan de Dios Larraín’s Fabula, Rachel Weisz and Polly Stokes’ Astral Projection as well as Luca Guadagnino, Paolo Sorrentino and Angelina Jolie.
