Law & Order: Organized Crime star Chris Meloni has teased fans with a new crossover.

After departing from Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (SVU) after 12 seasons, Meloni reprised his role as Elliot Stabler for the spin-off series Organized Crime.

It was recently announced that the spin-off would be moving from airing on NBC to streaming on Peacock. This news could mean some changes for the show's next season, including some bad language.

Speaking on the Today show, Meloni opened up the possibility of Stabler swearing during season five. "Maybe so, probably so," he hinted.

Musing about who Stabler would swear at first, Meloni then teased another crossover with Law & Order: SVU's Captain Olivia Benson.

"Maybe his brother Randall, or, I don't know if Benson — it would be nice to have Benson and Stabler go at it," he added.

Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Stabler last shared the screen in Organized Crime's season three finale. Since then, Benson hasn't physically appeared on season four, but her voice was heard during voicemails she had left for Stabler.

However, Meloni shared that he is writing the second episode of season five and confirmed that Hargitay's character will be making an appearance.

"Oh, girlfriend's coming on," he said, assuredly.

With season four of Organized Crime focusing heavily on Stabler's family life, the actor confirmed this would also be the case for the upcoming season.

"The family is involved," he shared. "I'm always pushing for more of that. I like that dynamic, and I think the audience does, too."

Law & Order: SVU airs on Thursdays on NBC in the US. The show airs on Sky Witness in the UK, with select episodes available on NOW.
