Letchworth State Park is closed for a police investigation.

A search of Letchworth State Park for a person of interest in an early morning homicide in Irondequoit has ended, and the situation is described as "resolved." There is no threat to the public, New York State Police said.

The south end of the park from the Portageville to Castile entrances has reopened; access to the north end of the park is still restricted, according to the park's website.

All park entrances were closed this morning because of the investigation.

State troopers and the Livingston County Sheriff's Office helped Irondequoit officers in the search.

We will update this story as more information becomes available.
