There's also the JW Marriott, Anaheim Resort, which boasts a healthy list of chic, kid-friendly activities, like high tea and cooking classes. And then there's our wildcard: Pendry Newport Beach. Yes, it's a 30-minute drive, but one well worth taking, especially once you see the quality of the beaches from which you'll be a stone's throw away.

Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa
If you're looking to stay on property, there's no finer choice than Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. The Craftsman-Style hotel not only oozes California elegance — the Redwood Pool, for instance, is tucked within a woodsy area, making you feel as though you've escaped north — but it also comes with a full-service spa (pictured), a welcome retreat for anyone who just clocked double their usual step count while hunting for the Mouse & Friends.
The Grand Californian also boasts six dining options, including a Disney Princess breakfast and the upscale Napa Rose. Most of all, each Disneyland Resort hotel comes with premium perks that are hard to beat. Two of our favorites? Early entry to both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park and preferred access to dining reservations.
Disneyland Hotel
While the Grand Californian may take the cake — preferably baked by three fairies in the woods — when it comes to luxury, the Disneyland Hotel trades in something just as special: nostalgia. Each of the hotel's three towers — the Adventure, Fantasy, and Frontier — pay homage to the Park's original lands, with aesthetic details to match. And yet, the rooms themselves are all quite modern and sleek, offering the best of both worlds.
Plus, just like at the Grand Californian, you're treated to benefits you'll only get while staying on-property: early entry, special events, and all the Disney-themed activities a child (or Disney adult!) could dream up.
The Westin Anaheim Resort
For a little less M-I-C-K-E-Y — with no less magic — allow us to turn your attention to the AAA Four Diamond-designated Westin Anaheim Resort. The luxury, wellness-focused property is all about you having your best night's sleep — very important after a long day of park hopping — hence its soothing, beautifully appointed suites. The best part? Many of them, as you can see, have park views!
The property also has a stunning pool, fitness center, and a rooftop bar, complete with some of the most flawless views of California Adventure. One more bonus for those rolling up in EVs: There are 34 chargers on site — 24 of which are dedicated to Teslas.
Pendry Newport Beach
Is there a world, you ask, where you can spend your days covered in pixie dust, but your nights sleeping in five-star accommodations near one of America's finest beaches? Dear reader, meet the Pendry Newport Beach. Just a 30-minute drive from Anaheim — and a five-minute drive from Newport's spectacular, sun-soaked sands — Pendry has everything a well-heeled traveler could ask for, including a pool (complete with pool bar and grill), a spa, a wellness studio, and an indoor/outdoor fitness center.
It also boasts a signature restaurant, the delectable SET Steak and Sushi — and for its littlest guests, a children's club. When you finally do head out to the parks, you can take advantage of Pendry's complimentary Cadillac Ride & Drive Program, which, based on availability, allows guests to take out the luxury automaker's newest cars for a day.
JW Marriott, Anaheim Resort
The AAA, Four Diamond JW Marriott, Anaheim Resort is equal parts luxury and whimsy. You have all the amenities — the chic suites, the pool deck, the refined dining options (with on-the-go offerings, too) — but also, all the charm.
And that's not even to mention the bevy of refined family activities on offer. High tea and cooking classes with the littles, anyone? And yes, you can see the Disney's iconic fireworks from the gloriously spacious comfort of the hotel roof — quite possibly worth the stay alone!
The Viv Hotel, Anaheim, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel
With its Pixar-worthy color palette, you'd be forgiven for thinking that The Viv Hotel is actually an official Disneyland resort. And while it's not, it's certainly keeping the Disney visitor high in mind. Not only is it a seven-minute drive from the parks, but it comes at a discount — 10 percent, to be precise — for all Magic Key Passholders.
When you're not at the parks, there's still plenty to enjoy, including Valencia's at the Viv — the hotel's Baja California restaurant with traditional, indigenous Mexican influences — two pools (plus a hot tub and a splash pad), a spa, and a fitness center.
Hilton Anaheim
While the Hilton Anaheim is a go-to choice for many an Anaheim visitor, it's especially good to those stopping by Disneyland. Case in point: It offers guests a discount on park admission. Plus, it's just under a mile walk to the parks. (However, you can take the ART bus to get to Disney — as well as Angels Stadium, the Honda Center, and the Anaheim GardenWalk.)
The hotel itself boasts a pool, two saunas, and a Kids Splash Zone, and an in-house Starbucks. But the thing we perhaps love most of all is MIX Restaurant, which is open all day and serves every Disney devotee's favorite breakfast: Mickey waffles!
Anaheim Marriott Hotel
One mile from the Disneyland Resort, there's one more Marriott offering for you: the Anaheim Marriott Hotel. Of all three nearby Marriotts, it's arguably the most businesslike (think: a concierge lounge and rooms outfitted in dark wood and navy) — which may be exactly what you're looking for, especially if your Disneyland adventure overlaps with, say, a conference.
But if you have come to play — and we suspect you have! — the outdoor heated pool is chef's kiss, and there's a pizzeria onsite — a favorite among both the big and small travelers alike.
Hotel Fera Anaheim, a DoubleTree by Hilton
The Hotel Fera Anaheim is close to a number of Anaheim icons: Angel Stadium (only a mile away), the Honda Center, numerous beaches, and, indeed, the reason you're reading this list, Disneyland. While the amusement park is 3.5 miles away, the hotel partners with ART (Anaheim Resort Transit), making the trip all too easy.
And when you get back? Crisp rooms, an on-site restaurant, an outdoor pool, a fitness center, and room service — because after a long day, sometimes you just need a burger in bed! — will all be waiting for you.
Pixar Place Hotel
Last, but not least, we have the newly reopened — and rebranded — Pixar Place Hotel. It's the first and only hotel in the world to celebrate all of Pixar Animation's most famous films, including Toy Story, Wall-E, and Up, so if you're a fan — and who isn't, really? — this is the hotel for you.
After all, everything from the furnishings to the art have a nod to the iconic studio. Just one thing to keep in mind: Disney's still working on this one, so do expect to see a work in progress.
