Alyson Hannigan Is Embracing the 'Roller Coaster' of Back-to-School Season: 'Here We Go Again' (Exclusive)

The actress has partnered with Kevin's Natural Foods to share tips on making the back-to-school transition smoother

Alyson Hannigan is embracing the chaos of back-to-school season.

The How I Met Your Motherstar is gearing up for the end of summer with her children, and is already anticipating the hectic schedules to come.

"Here we go again," she tells PEOPLE. "The roller coaster begins."

The mother-of-two says the never-ending cycle includes "getting kids out of the house and then to this after-school event and that after-school event," and joking that her children "wanna have dinner every night."

She partnered with Kevin's Natural Foods to make the transition smoother — and more delicious.

"The first time I tried [Kevin's Natural Foods], I was basically an infomercial in my kitchen by myself," she says. "Like, no, no, no, no. It can't be this easy. Well, if it's this easy, it's not gonna taste good. Oh, my God, this is amazing. Like, are you kidding me?"

The line of healthy entrées, sauces, sides and frozen meals, which are easy to prepare and made with premium, clean ingredients are an easy solution that answers the evergreen question: "What's for dinner?"

"I'm a huge fan of making anything easier in such a hectic transitional time," she continues. "And it's amazing how fast the days go."

Hannigan also mentions that her daughters Satyana Marie, 15, and Keeva Jane, 11, "look forward to parts" of going back to school. She says they "love school and love their friends," but her teenager "does not love waking up early."

"Overall they're great and they have good attitudes and everything."

The actress, who has been married to Alexis Denisof for over 20 years, appreciates the simplicity of the easy-to-prepare meals as she eases back into her daughters' back-to-school routine. "It's just really nice to have something healthy and easy and quick in the fridge," she says.

Though Hannigan says she's "really good at breakfast and lunch," she can now master the dinnertime routine.

"I just have [Kevin's Natural Foods] in the fridge and my kids adore them. It's such a no-brainer, right?"
