Ashley Tisdale Reveals ‘Zen' Maternity Room and Realities of Welcoming Daughter Emerson: ‘Threw Up on Myself’

The 'High School Musical' alum shared a candid Instagram post after welcoming her daughter Emerson Clover on Sept. 6

Ashley Tisdale is keeping it real!

On Thursday, Sept. 12, the actress, 39, shared a post about the realities of welcoming a newborn after welcoming her second baby with husband Christopher French earlier this month.

Sharing a snap of herself in a maternity room while in labor, Tisdale — who welcomed daughter Emerson Clover on Sept. 6 — wrote on her Instagram Stories, “@buddywporter did my blow out the night before my labor, I was like ‘I want to look good when this baby comes out.’”

“But of course we never know how labor is gonna go and after having to do rotating positions to keep the baby’s heart rate up, I put my hair in a bun and then threw up on myself,” she continued alongside a laughing face emoji. “So let’s just be real and not try so hard sometimes lol.”

Tisdale also shared a carousel post of her time in the hospital. Beginning with the same photo of herself sat on a birthing ball, the carousel also included a video of the maternity room decorated with candles as French, 42, and Tisdale's doula Lori Bregman stood close by.

Tisdale then shared a close-up of some products from her wellness brand, Being Frenshe, on a bedside table alongside a framed photo of her late dog Maui.

Other photos included the view from her hospital room and some more candles dotted around the room.

Thanking her doula for transforming the room for her, Tisdale captioned the post, “@lbreggy made my labor a magical zen space again just like we did before. This time we had @beingfrenshe palo santo collection with us so we were the best smelling room 😊."

The High School Musical alum announced the birth of her second daughter on Saturday, Sept. 7.

"Emerson Clover French, all three of us are obsessed with you," Tisdale wrote as she shared a black and white photo of her, French and their 3-year-old daughter, Jupiter Iris, holding the new arrival’s hand. "She landed 9.6.24 🍀."

"Thanks for bringing this beautiful creature into the world and our family @ashleytisdale you’re a superhero I love you so much," French wrote in the comments section, while Hilary Duff added, "Congrats ash ❤️."

The following day, she and French celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary, with Tisdale sharing a post on Instagram calling the musician the "love of my life."
