Behold: Tara Davis and Hunter Woodhall's Adorable Relationship Timeline

The Olympics and Paralympics are happening right TF now, and even if you're someone who isn't into ~sports~ there are some things to be seated for: (1) the fact that the Seine may or may not be filled with literal sewage during this thing, (2) all the wild rules in the Olympic village, and (3) the fact that there's at least one adorable couple to become obsessed with over the next couple weeks. Enter: track and field stars Tara Davis and Hunter Woodhall. If you're playing catch-up on these two, a timeline is in order.

February 2017

Tara and Hunter first locked eyes at a track meet in Idaho (making this a ~track meet-cute~ heh). "After he finished his race, I went up to him and hugged him," Tara explained to Business Insider. "I don't have a reason why I did that, but I did."

Meanwhile, Hunter told Elle: “My first impression of her is that she was gorgeous. She walked right up to me and hugged me. No questions… I was like, ‘Wow, this girl is bold—she knows what she wants.’”

From there, these two followed each other on social media and started chatting in DMs. Here's a screenshot of their first conversation, which they shared on YouTube (because yes they have a YouTube channel):

And here's a lil' mini video they filmed on how they met, if you have 9 minutes to melt:

Hunter went to the University of Arkansas and Tara went to the University of Georgia. But! Tara transferred to the University of Texas to be closer to Hunter, though being long distance was still tricky.

As Hunter put it to Elle, "We balance our long-distance relationship by having communication, trust, and patience. Over the past four years, we learned how to communicate and operate as a couple. We have had countless situations where we had done badly on both sides, but we learned from those lessons and genuinely want to grow our relationship."

Hunter wrote in his caption of the pics (because yes, there were pics), "To my future wife, I promise to always be there for you, I promise to always provide for you, I promise to always love you. You make me a better person and I can't imagine a life without you. Thank you for trusting, supporting, and loving me the last 5 years. Here's to the rest of our lives. P.S. the last pic is my relief from getting a yes haha."
