Not all of us are snapping up CBD gumdrops and glow creams from Goop, but one thing is for certain: Gwyneth Paltrow, the brand's dewy-faced founder, certainly knows her way around a room. The Shakespeare in Love actress worked with ELLE DECOR A-Listers Roman and Williams and Brigette Romanek on her new Montecito home, a glamorous ode to white marble and home spas; she also just debuted a collection of rugs with Ruggable.

Before all of that, though, there was Paltrow's collaboration with CB2 in 2018, which launched a bouclé swivel chair that would go on to both become a bestseller for the brand and help further cement the nubby material into the contemporary design canon. Now, Paltrow is giving furniture design another whirl with a second launch with CB2, with offerings ranging from glasses and plates to sofas and chandeliers.

For Paltrow's second act, she's expanding beyond bouclé and exploring new material frontiers. "We designed an eclectic collection that's refined, elegant, and daring," she tells ELLE DECOR, adding that she wanted the pieces to feel like "modern heirlooms."

Paltrow's references certainly hark back to the classics. The modular Sevigne sectional draws from midcentury Italian elements, and the Mylene sofa's curved lines pull from French design traditions. Other muses are more personal: The Claude Bar, for instance, takes cues from a piece in her own home.

Some of the collection's more "daring" elements include the Bretagne dining table, which combines cast aluminum and white resin for a brutalist silhouette that's both subtle and powerful. The Nadine chair also has a bit of fun to it, with Italian white marble legs capped off with sweet brass accents. For those feeling less adventurous, or who just want a more accessible starting point, there's also the Cremieux dinnerware, which is reminiscent of French ceramics, and the thin, versatile Noemie glassware.

"Our personal spaces have more effect on our moods than many of us realize," adds Paltrow—and there's certainly plenty here that will make the choosiest of home decorators happy.
