Cate Blanchett has been rolling out her own kind of premieres at the 81st Venice International Film Festival, turning the red carpet into her personal runway. So far, her sizzling style streak has included a playful polka-dot Moschino suit and an elegant white gown by Louis Vuitton, as well as a liquid metal dress by Armani Privé. Not only does the luxe lineup prove the actor’s versatility, but her looks have brought excitement back to festival fashion. Her latest outfit, of course, was no exception.

For a Saturday night dinner hosted by Armani Beauty, Blanchett decided to let loose, sartorially speaking. Wearing Armani Privé, she opted for a daring halterneck top made of individually beaded strings, which cascaded down across her chest from the garment’s embellished collar. Teal and silver gemstones decorated the straps as they gently draped over the actor’s arms and torso, while a middle part in the top exposed her midriff and bust, adding a sultry feel to the ensemble.

Below, Blanchett wore a pair of high-rise velvet pants for an added touch of elegance. The ‘70s-style pants pooled around her pointed black heels, nearly making the shoes disappear. A pair of small diamond studs, as well as a transparent coral lipstick, rounded out her look.

The actor’s sustainable approach to fashion has also brought a deeper meaning to her outfits. Blanchett has a tendency to re-wear clothes on the red carpet, and while her latest ensemble is a new one, its execution is similar to a layered spoon top she debuted earlier this month. Made of 102 spoons, the armored halterneck top showed that Blanchett isn’t afraid to take fashion risks—an attitude she continues to display in Venice.
