Christina Hall is setting the record straight. The HGTV star shared her first public comments amid her divorce with Josh Hall on Instagram, expressing how she’s ready to fight for the life she’s built for herself and her children.

In a series of text-based Instagram Stories, Christina started by addressing what she has been waiting to see from Josh in the news: "the typical Hired PR rep speech of 'how I was blind-sided and how I’m working on myself and taking time to heal at her ranch.'"

She went on to state that she is "not as nice and quiet" as she used to be. "I have worked my ass off to build this life for myself and my children and anyone who would try and take what they do not deserve/what they did NOT work for should be ashamed," she continued. "An insecure man with a large ego can sure try and derail you—but 'still i rise.'"

This isn’t the first time Christina has referenced "Still I Rise," the title of a poem by author, poet, and civil rights activist Maya Angelou. Following her divorce filing from Ant Anstead in 2020, she debuted a tattoo of the title in cursive running down her spine.

As a refresher: In Josh’s divorce filing, he is seeking alimony and wants the court to "eliminate" Christina's "ability to collect from him." He also asked the court to "grant him all rights to any HGTV and/or Discovery Network shows or specials they produced during their marriage," per TMZ.

Christina has also accused Josh of transferring $35,000 of her money into his personal bank account, according to court documents obtained by Entertainment Tonight. The funds came from her rental property income, and she requests that they be returned as they "are specifically used to pay any loans, obligations, property taxes, insurance, and maintenance for these rental properties," she stated in the documents.

On Instagram, Christina continued with a little PSA to those who aren’t aware that "divorces do not happen overnight" and "there is always a breaking point." She then stated, "This one is personal…"

After TMZ reported that Josh feels "blindsided and heartbroken," Christina shared a snapshot of it to her Instagram Story. The outlet’s sources claim that Christina "stopped speaking to him after a disagreement and would only speak to him through an attorney." To that, Christina was confused and clarified that she didn’t block him—even noting that she didn’t see any missed calls or texts from him the next day, which happened to be her birthday (July 9). She added, "Strange—No flowers, no card, no messages like 'Hope you have a nice birthday.'"

While that claim doesn’t add up to her, she stated, "I’m down to keep playing 'Christina Vs. The Victim' as I love this game."
