The 58-year-old supermodel kicks off the company's American Icons series

Cindy Crawford is cementing her icon status once again.

The model, 58, is the newest face of Good American, ushering in the clothing brand's new American Icons campaign. According to a press email shared with PEOPLE, the ongoing series celebrates "trailblazing women who’ve gone against the grain to leave an indelible mark on history, and pave the way for women everywhere."

As a pioneering supermodel of the '90s, Crawford fits the bill perfectly. "Her influence shaped our culture and redefined what it means to be a model, elevating the profession to a realm of respect, admiration and icon status," reads Good American's statement.

Having rose to fame as part of "The Supers" (alongside Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington and Linda Evangelista), Crawford's striking beauty and entrepreneurial spirit helped define an era. In 2004, she launched her own cosmetics line, Meaningful Beauty, which recently celebrated its 20th anniversary.

Since 2016, the annual outreach event forms what the company has dubbed the #GoodSquad. Per Good American's website, this group contains "fearless advocates for body diversity and self-love who challenge the status quo and remind us that confidence is contagious, and self-love is a powerful force that can change the world."

While in Los Angeles for the seventh annual casting event in January 2024, Lede told PEOPLE that the Open Casting Call was "about making everyone feel the most comfortable and the most confident that they can be."

“There are some girls here that want to be models," she continued. "There are some that just want a platform to say and express who they are, what they believe in, what they feel passionate about. It's so nice as a brand that you can give people that because different women do different things."
