Thinking about ditching cable? My husband and I cut the cord in 2020 and signed up for some of the biggest streamers, like Hulu and Netflix, and never looked back. If you're still on the fence, we recommend taking advantage of free trials and ridiculous sales to try out the services before you fully subscribe. And if you're been eyeing Disney+, the streamer just launched an incredibly rare sale. Right now, you can sign up for three months of Disney+ for just $1.99.

Quick Overview

Try Disney+ for just $1.99 with this rare deal.

$2 at Disney+

The ad-free service usually goes for $9.99 a month, so with the promotion, you save $21 over the course of three months. Disney+ never goes on sale—not even at Black Friday—so this incredibly rare promotion is a great opportunity to save on the streaming service to see if you want to keep subscribing to its catalog. It's available for both new and returning users.

This Disney+ deal runs from September 12 through September 27.

Disney+ is home to the massive catalog of Disney-owned shows, movies, and documentaries. Disney owns some of the largest digital properties and franchises, so while you can catch classic Disney cartoons like "Cinderella" and "Frozen," you can also watch the entire Marvel collection, all of the Star Wars shows and movies, movies from 20th Century Studios, and all the best documentaries from National Geographic.

Marvel's latest series "Agatha All Along" premieres September 18, so if you're a big Marvel fan, it's a great time to take advantage of these savings.

In addition to this promotion, Disney+ announced an array of exciting new benefits that subscribers can take advantage of, including the opportunity to win a Disney Cruise. You can review the full list of perks at the Disney+ website.

You can sign up for Disney+, or you can bundle the service with a combination of Hulu, HBO's Max, and ESPN+.

Since Disney+ is partnered with Hulu, HBO's Max, and ESPN+, it's hard to find the page where you can sign up for just Disney+, because the brand likes to promote its bundle deals. To sign up for Disney+ only, select "View All Plan Options" on the home page. Once there, scroll down to where it reads, "Get Disney+ Basic (With Ads)" in the fine print. That will take you to the page where you can sign up for the $1.99 deal.

Since Disney owns quite a few major companies, like ABC and Hulu, it's able to bundle Disney+ with a few other major streaming networks. If you opt for one of these bundles, you can save on monthly costs when you subscribe to them all at the same time. Currently, these are the bundles you can subscribe to through Disney+.

This bundle pairs Disney+ with Hulu, allowing you to access the full catalogs of each service. You can watch Hulu favorites like "The Bear" along with Disney+ series like "The Acolyte." You can subscribe to an ad-free version of the service for an extra $10 a month ($19.99).

$10 at Disney+

Disney partnered with Warner Media to offer a bombshell bundle that includes Disney, Hulu, and Max. This bundle is perfect for streamers who are already subscribed to all three services. It's only $16.99 per month, but if you want to upgrade to ad-free streaming, it costs $29.99 each month.

$17 at Disney+

Ditching cable means you need to find a new way to stream sports—this bundle includes ESPN+, which won't carry every game like cable might, but does broadcast quite a few, depending on your region. It's a great bundle for sports fans.

$15 at Disney+

If you want to ditch cable, but don't really want to lose your live TV, this is the bundle for you. Hulu + Live TV allows you to catch all of your shows and sporting events without being tied to an over-priced cable provider.

$77 at Hulu

Yes! Disney+ just offered live TV offerings, so while there aren't very many yet, the catalog will likely grow in the coming months. If you subscribe to the Hulu + Live TV bundle, you can catch live channels that are part of your subscription. For those with the ESPN+ bundle, you can watch live games through the ESPN app.

If you're not pleased with your subscription—or the $1.99 promotion ends and you don't want to stay subscribed—cancelling Disney+ is pretty easy. Disney has a set of instructions on its site to walk you through the process. Once you're logged in, go to the right corner of the app and click on your profile. Select "Account," then go to "Subscription." Hit "Cancel Subscription" and you're good to go.
