Dwayne Johnson has a party trick for kids that involves “Moana” — and one for adults that involves grapes and a body part

You might call him a "hero of men."

One more reason to invite Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson to the party: He's got separate tricks for fans of his family movies and his more grown-up fare.

"It all depends on what kinda party it is," Johnson tells Entertainment Weekly for our latest cover story on Moana 2 in the video above. "If it's a party for little kids, I could transform into Maui. They all start to gather round."

The actor voices Maui in both Disney's 2016 animated movie Moana and the upcoming sequel, which lands in theaters Nov. 27.

"I know it's a lot, the hair, the bod, when you're staring at a demi-god," Johnson sings from the movie's memorable song "You're Welcome." He adds, "I make my pecs bounce, and kids go crazy. It's awesome!"

An older crowd, though, calls for something different.

"If it was an adult party, well.." he teases. "With tequila, I do this thing where I can pick up a grape. Not with my hands, not with my feet, not even my mouth. Right now, my publicist is [looking at me] like, 'Please, God, don't say anymore. Don't, please.'"

Johnson is reprising his role in the highly anticipated installment of the franchise, as is the original voice of the title character, Auli'i Cravalho, in which he and Moana reunite to help her people reconnect. Johnson is also set to costar in and produce the live-action version of the original story, which comes out July 10, 2026.
