Do you have a favorite food? Sawyer does. The Goldendoodle is a big fan of one of our favorite foods — cheese. Good pick! The dog can even tell when other people are thinking about cheese, specifically his owner, whose cheese-laden conversation had the dog's full attention.

Ashley caught her dog eavesdropping on her conversation recently. We guess someone mentioned the magic word.

The Goldendoodle was adorably resting on a chair when two of the humans were going over their grocery list for the week.

"We need dressing," said the woman in the video. "Do we need steak sauce?"

"Let's get some A1," a man out of frame replied.

"Don't forget cheese," the woman added. Sawyer visibly perked up when the c-word was mentioned. "We have to get cheese."

Soon all three humans were talking about all kinds of cheese, shredded, cubed...even sliced. Yep, Sawyer was ready for someone to pull some cheese out — ASAP.

"When they're going through the grocery list and they keep saying your favorite word," the text overlay stated. "He was very invested in our conversation," the caption joked.

People in the comments section were here for Sawyer's obsession. "He’s like…wait..there’s shredded, sliced, and cubed cheese????" joked one person. "He sits like he has a taste for fancy cheeses," another person teased. "He definitely agrees to not forget the cheese," joked another commenter. "I’m gonna need a video of that baby getting some cheese!" urged someone else.

Thankfully, the Golden's mom had a video of her pup chowing down on his favorite snack at the ready.

"Don’t worry, everyone. We paid the cheese tax MULTIPLE times!" the dog mom assured commenters in the follow up video's caption.

Can Dogs Eat Cheese?

There are lots of pesky things that dogs can't really digest. But thankfully for Sawyer, cheese isn't one of them. That's a relief! While most vets would surely recommend that your dog stick to their dog food, cheese is a fine snack in moderation. Some people even use cheese as a way to train their puppies. And for their part dogs love the stuff.

Cheese can also be a great way to sneak your dog pills that they don't want to take. And cheese is filled with protein, calcium, vitamin A, essential fatty acids, and B-complex vitamins too. Unfortunately, cheese is high in fat. It can be unhealthy if your dog has it as a regular snack. Which is bad news for Sawyer, who would be on an all-cheese diet if he could.
