Hugh Jackman has hinted that his character Wolverine won't be toned down for his official MCU debut.

In September, it was announced that Logan would appear in Deadpool 3 alongside Ryan Reynolds. In an interview with AP Entertainment, Jackman teased his Wolverine will be even "angrier," dismissing the chance of a gentler version of the X-Men mutant under Disney's banner.

"There's no choice. He's definitely angrier, sort of grumpy, and he's gonna take a lot of free shots at Ryan Reynolds. Physically, that is," Jackman said.

Jackman originally said 2017's Logan would be the last time fans saw him in the role. But he clearly changed his mind, also thanks to his pal Reynolds' daily pleads for a Wolverine/Deadpool team-up.

"It's been five years and I'd really never thought I'd come back and I'm really, really excited about it," he said, remaining tight-lipped about plot details.

"I'm going to have the time of my life," he continued.

"I can tell you that I started back at the gym and I'm eating a lot – and I feel bad for the cast of The Music Man [his Broadway musical] for how many protein shakes I'm having – but it's a lot of fun."

Last month, Jackman opened up to Variety on finally caving to Reynolds' requests to have a project involving both the Merc with a Mouth and Wolverine.

"I think it was a big shock to him. There was a massive pause, and then he said, 'I can't believe the timing of this,'" Jackman shared.
