Lady Gaga Steps Out in Paris Looking Incredible Ahead of the Olympics
Looks like Lady Gaga is performing at the Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony today (July 26)! And obvi, the musician showed up to the City of Lights looking iconic—by which we mean she went out for dinner last night in a ~très chic~ (me trying to get into the spirit of things) outfit that consisted of jeans, a black bodysuit, a black blazer, some oversized sunglasses, and a pair of sky-high heels to round out the look.
Other rumored performers at the Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony, you ask? That'd be Celine Dion, Dua Lipa, Ariana Grande, *and* Aya Nakamura. That! Said!!! Only Celine Dion has been confirmed at this point… 👀 In fact, TMZ reports that she and Gaga will be performing Édith Piaf’s “La Vie en Rose” together.
The outlet also claimed that it spoke to sources who said Celine would be paid $2 million for her appearance, and that the Olympics is “footing the bill” for her travel (think: jets and boats) as well as “other expenses.” As the insider put it, “They're paying a ton of money. Ridiculous amount.”
However! A spokesperson for the Olympics clarified to Page Six that “contrary to some media reports, the performers at the Paris 2024 Games ceremonies will not receive a fee for their performance. Their decision to perform under these conditions reflects their desire to be part of a historic event for France and for the world of sports.”
That's “performers” plural, so gonna assume this applies to Lady Gaga, not to mention potential performances by Dua Lipa, Ariana Grande, and Aya Nakamura. The Olympics will be covering “technical production” and “costs for the performances, as is customary,” though, so at least there's that!
