McDonald’s fans in America are frustrated after learning that a tasty-sounding new breakfast item isn’t coming to the U.S.—at least, not right away.

Menu items sold in other countries sometimes make their way to McDonald's locations in the States, a fact that left some fans feeling hopeful. But for now, Americans will have to take a trip to Canada if they want to test out the new breakfast food in question.

Snackolator provided Instagram users with a preview of the menu item in a post on the social media platform on Sunday, Sept. 8. In what the food blogger described as a response to customer enthusiasm for the fan-favorite Snack Wraps, McDonald’s has unveiled breakfast-themed wraps that are, appropriately, called Breakfast Snack Wraps.

Canadian customers have three options to choose from when they order one of the new breakfast wraps. The Chicken wrap includes chicken, lettuce, mayonnaise and hash browns, while the Sausage, Bacon & Egg wrap has egg, sausage, bacon, cheese, mayonnaise and hash browns. The Spicy Egg & Hash Brown wrap includes egg, hash browns, lettuce, tomato, cheese and a special habanero sauce, according to Snackolator’s preview.

All three of the breakfast wraps are now available for customers to purchase at McDonald’s locations in Canada, Snackolator’s post said.

“In Canada… of course,” one frustrated fan wrote as another wondered, “why not the US 😢.”

“Why why why do these fast food companies only sell certain food items in certain countries and not in all countries??” one Instagram user wrote, adding that the trend “Makes me mad 😠.”

Another said McDonald’s “is straight up betraying Americans rn.”

“I suggest a McDs boycott in the US until we start getting something interesting 😤😤,” one customer boldly suggested.

A few fans hinted that they might go to Canada for the sole purpose of trying the breakfast wraps. One person wrote that they “gotta move to canada i cant take this anymore.”

“Bouta take a trip,” another fan declared.
