Nicola Coughlan Dazzles in a Sequin Gown in Her Emmys Red Carpet Debut

Nicola Coughlan has officially made her Emmys red carpet debut.
The Bridgerton star is not nominated tonight (season three of the Regency romance was not eligible for the 2024 Emmys), but she is one of the presenters during this evening's ceremony. For the occasion, she wore a metallic silver sequin gown.
Coughlan has had many standout looks at red carpet events this year, particularly during the Bridgerton season three press tour. "I get a lot of joy from it," Coughlan said of her relationship with fashion. She added, "Fashion matters because it's how it makes you feel. I always say that you'll feel different in a pair of pajamas to a ball gown. When I dress up, it makes me feel more powerful and sometimes sexier—it can make you feel a million different ways. There's so much power in dressing. If you can utilize it to make you feel your best then that's a brilliant thing."
Notably, Coughlan works with stylist Aimée Croysdill. "Nicola is brilliant," Croysdill told Harper's Bazaar UK of their partnership. "She brings film references and iconic moments in pop culture and film, then I pair it with fashion moments, so we have a beautiful synergy between the two. Both of us will come with ideas for different events and we will just roll with it, it's such a great relationship."
Coughlan is not the only Bridgerton star in attendance tonight; Jonathan Bailey is nominated for his performance in Fellow Travelers. Production on season four is beginning across the pond, with Luke Thompson and the just-announced Yerin Ha taking the lead for the newest chapter of the hit Regency romance.
