There’s an active recall on approximately 28,000 coffee makers sold at Aldi locations nationwide, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission. This is due to a burn hazard.

The affected product is the Ambiano Single Serve Coffee Maker sold in four colors: gray, blue, pink and purple. The recalled coffee makers have a printed model number of 708924 or 708925, and have one of the following UPC codes: 4061464174788, 4061464174801, 4061464174849, 4061464174825 or 4061464174863. These coffee makers were purchased for about $50 from July 2023 through September 2023 by consumers.

The recall was announced after Aldi received 25 reports of the coffee maker “expelling hot water from the top of the machine.” Of these reports, three have resulted in burn injuries. If you have experienced a severe burn injury after using this product, seek medical attention immediately.

Check your coffee maker, and if it matches the recall information, return the unit to your local Aldi for a full cash refund. You can also receive a $75 electronic gift card by visiting Aldi’s website and following the appropriate disposal instructions for the appliance.

For questions about this recall, contact Aldi’s toll-free number at 888-770-7124 from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST Monday through Friday.
