Shih-Tzu's Adorable Groomer Makeover Makes It Look Like She's Going to Coachella

A little Shih-Tzu or Shih Tzu mix came back from her grooming appointment looking absolutely summer festival ready, much to her owner's delight.

Just check out how her groomer got this little girl all dolled up.

The darling video was shared by the TikTok account for @Peytonbyrdic45 and people can't get enough of this cute pup's new 'do. One person commented, "She said: “Don’t care summers here!” LOL, true. Another added, "They put a tinsel hair extension in my dogs hair and it lasted like 5 months lol it was so cute." Someone else said, "My soul dog, Stella, always got feathers! She was my gypsy feather love child.' Awww, there's nothing better than a great groomer who not only loves your dog like they are their own dog, but who goes the extra mile to make them look cute!

Just like with any other dog service, such as veterinary care, boarding, or doggy daycare, your first step should be to ask friends and family where they take their dogs. If they trust their usual groomer to do a good job, it's a great sign that your dog will be in good hands.

So many groomers have social media, so check Instagram and Facebook to see if they have a social media page where you can see their work and read reviews from their clients.

If you're nervous, start by scheduling a bath appointment or a consultation for your pup. Don't hesitate to ask questions, just as you would with any business. Inquire about how they handle nervous dogs, their process for nail trims, and whether anal gland expression costs extra. A simple bath appointment can be a great way to get to know the groomer and assess their vibe before entrusting them with cutting your dog's fur.

Be very specific about what you want. If you want a teddy cut, ask for it. If you don't want your dog to be shaved, tell them. Bring photos of cuts your dog has received previously that you like, or photos from similar cuts on the same breed.

And tip your groomer! They certainly do work hard and a great groomer is hard to find!
