Travis Kelce Had Major Imposter Syndrome When Meeting Prince William at Taylor Swift's Concert

Travis Kelce's mom, Donna, is dishing on her son's recent run-in with royalty. In a new interview with Extra published on Sept. 26, Donna opened up about Travis's meeting with Prince William backstage at girlfriend Taylor Swift's Eras Tour concert in London this summer and how he suffered from a mild (ok, major) case of imposter syndrome afterwards.
"He said that was probably one of the coolest things," Donna said of Travis's reaction to meeting the Prince of Wales and his two eldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
But despite being a three-time Super Bowl champion and dating the biggest pop star in the world, Donna noted that Travis did feel somewhat out-of-place. “He said that ‘When you meet people like that, you know when the royals come in or Paul McCartney or Hugh Grant or something like that, somebody’s in the suite, you’re just like, 'Who in this picture doesn’t fit? Why am I here and why am I even allowed to talk to these individuals? It just doesn’t seem right,'" Donna said.
She added, "But I think he's handling it pretty well. He's a pretty friendly guy."

In a previous episode of his New Heights podcast, Travis shared in his own words what it was like to meet the future King of England. "Dude, he was the coolest motherfucker. He was awesome," the NFL star said of Prince William, adding that he and his kids were "an absolute delight to meet.”
Since dating Swift, Kelce has met a handful of Hollywood stars—including Julia Roberts, Stevie Knicks, Blake Lively, and Ryan Reynolds, just to name a few. But admittedly, he still gets starstruck. “You know, some of these people you meet and you’re like, ‘I don’t know what I’m doing here,’” he said. “You are unbelievable. You’re talent is unbelievable. How you present yourself is unbelievable and I am just a jamoke supporting his girlfriend."
