It’s often said that orange cats have quirky personalities. However, other colors seem to display equally silly behaviors. Take, for instance, this Tuxedo cat who found her way into the freezer. Although she may have only been trying to cool off, she could’ve been on ice if Mom hadn’t been paying attention.

Lucky for this explorer, she was, and Mom’s reaction to her chilly choices will have you cracking up! See how she handled this feline’s curiosity in a video shared on September 12:

This frisky Tuxedo kitten sure had her mom concerned! It’s good Robin (@itstherosenthals) noticed she had snuck in behind the freezer drawer before attempting to close it. Just thinking about it is enough to give an animal lover a heart attack, so her reaction is understandable. Unfortunately, she wasn’t interested in coming out once she had entered. So, Mom frantically asked her daughter Emma to get the laser to draw her out. While Emma continued laughing and filming, Robin took manners into her own hands and devised a brilliant plan. She grabbed an ice cube and tossed it on the floor, which was enough to coax this kitty back to the outside. Smart! Mothers always know how to make a split-second decision to ensure the well-being of one of their kids. As this new cat mom points out, you wouldn’t encounter this problem with most dogs. So true!

Tuxedo Cat Personality Traits

Tuxedo cats, or Tuxies, are not a specific breed but cats with a distinct black-and-white color pattern that mimics formal wear. Many pet parents report that this coloring often indicates a friendly, social, intelligent, and athletic feline. This regal style was cherished in ancient Egypt, where Tuxedoes were believed to bring good luck and protection to their people.

Pet parents confirmed the playful nature of Tuxies. Viewer @eliza_vercruk confirmed, “Tuxedo cats are sweet, but they’re also nuts! I had one hanging off floor lamps and walking the tops of window valances. Her whole litter of five Tuxedos were rescued from the vet office I worked at, and every single one broke at least one lamp in their adoptive homes, performing their acrobatics and pursuing their endless curiosity.” Oh, my! Viewer @jorishepdog revealed, “They say a dog won’t get into something, but I had a mini Aussie who got into the oven and ate half the turkey.” That’s frightening! Several pet parents also reported that their Huskies enjoyed climbing into this chilly space, which seems fair for dogs bred for the cold.

Hopefully, this little troublemaker doesn’t take it upon herself to sneak in whenever the drawer opens. If she does, Robin might need to leave a laser pointer in the kitchen or keep a lot of ice on hand.
