Woman Has Silver Labrador She ‘Birthed’ Walk Down the Aisle at Her Wedding

A woman captured the moment that her baby walked down the aisle at her wedding — and by baby we mean her Silver Labrador Retriever. Lexi just knew that she wanted her dog Scout to be part of her big day. So naturally she gave her a key part of the ceremony, which now has people online in tears.

There was no way Scout wasn't going to be part of the proceedings. Her mama loves her as if she were her own biological child.

In fact in the footage she shared, Lexi joked that the Silver Labrador Retriever was "raised by a woman who thinks she actually birthed me." Doesn't that sum up so many of our relationships with our pets?

The video shows the Lab walking down the aisle with a well-timed sign in her mouth. It reads, "Daddy here comes mommy!" The video then cuts out, but something tells us Lexi followed in her wedding dress.

People in the comments section were so emotional by the video. "You can tell by the walk that’s a happy dog," wrote one person. "The happy prance. That dog did the job well, deserves extra love and treats," someone else wrote. "I could never do this because my dog would want to say hi to everyone," joked another commenter. "Babeey, she made you from scratch!" teased another commenter, addressing the pup.

Video of Teen Abusing His Dog Leads to Arrests

There's another reason why the dog mom shared the footage. A 2023 video showing a Louisiana teenager allegedly beating his dog has bubbled up again online.

Hot 1079.1 reports the original video showed the teenager getting frustrated while training his Labrador Retriever to be a bird dog. When the dog didn't respond, the teen allegedly beat the dog in a pond while his friends recorded beside him and laughed.

A recent press release from the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office seems to indicate an arrest has been made and states the dog in the clip has since been surrendered.

"On Saturday, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office was made aware of a video that was circulating on social media showing a male abusing a dog on what appeared to be a hunting trip," the press release from July 30, 2024 states. "It was determined this incident occurred in the Manchac area a year-and-a-half ago (early 2023) and that there were three people involved in the video who are all 15-year-old boys today."

"One was arrested on one count of Animal Cruelty; the other two were each arrested on one count of Principal to Animal Cruelty," they added.

The main suspect's family has since agreed to give the dog up to a new home. It will receive a full medical evaluation before it is rehomed.

It's not clear if the teens have obtained a lawyer at the time of this reporting.

Clearly the story has still touched many pet owners online, who could never imagine hurting their fur-children, including Lexi.

"Loving my baby extra hard after seeing that video," Lexi wrote in the caption of her video. "My heart breaks for that poor dog."
