Zendaya Wears Ralph Lauren Blazer and Tie to Wimbledon
On Saturday, Zendaya attended day 13 of the Wimbledon Championships at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club. The star was sitting in the Royal Box and wearing a preppy look, including a khaki Ralph Lauren blazer over a blue button-down shirt that opened just above the waist of her wide-legged denim pants. Around her neck, she had on a knit blue and white striped tie.
Zendaya’s hair was up in a curly bun and her hair appeared to be a lighter blonde than usual. In her ears were a pair of pearl studs set in gold circles. She carried a brown Louis Vuitton purse and had a bright red manicure.
Zendaya has attended tennis games in the past, but her recent movie Challengers, directed by Luca Guadagnino, has her playing the role of a tennis star named Tashi Duncan.
In April on Instagram, she shared clips and photos of her and the film’s other stars, Mike Faist and Josh O’Connor. In her caption, she admitted to feeling nervous leading up to the movie’s release.
“This is my first time leading a film in this way so ya girls been nervous but everyones excitement and encouragement has meant the world to me,” she said. “I’m so honored that I get to do this beside these incredibly talented, brilliant (and hilarious) people and on behalf of all of us, we hope you enjoy the film and again…try not to judge the characters too much lol but also #teamtashi.”
She told The Hollywood Reporter of working with Guadagnino,“Luca is brilliant, and I’ve wanted to work with Luca for a very long time, and this just seemed like the absolute perfect thing. When we first met about the script he had such a keen, deep understanding of the characters from the beginning and a clearer idea of the kind of movie he wanted to create.”
