According to a preliminary investigation, the woman was traveling north on Seventh Street and entered the intersection at Algonquin Parkway after experiencing a "medical emergency," Ellis said. She struck Humphrey's vehicle head-on, which was southbound on Seventh waiting to turn eastbound onto Algonquin Parkway.

Humphrey, who was not injured in the crash, offered aid until medical services arrived and she was transported to Norton Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.
